To me the SL 2000 F was daring and ahead of time. Never before you will  get a 35mm body with electronic shutter, build in winder, build in vertical finder and interchangeable magazine. And if you look carefully the overall package was much smaller than a Nikon F-3 with winder or a Canon F-1 with winder. Really daring for Rollei to launch this product. Unfortunately again Rollei did not really make it big with this model and the last of the series the 3003. Finally the 3003 stopped production and Rollei left the 35mm SLR market totally.

So SL 2000 F probably was the first SLR body to incorporate build in winder and vertical finder. It was still the only SLR with both vertical and eye-level viewfinder organic to the body. It was almost the only 35mm SLR with interchangeable film magazine (Zeiss Ikon Contarex was the first). The Rolleiflex 3003 was the upgraded version of SL 2000 F.
