Asahi SMC Pentax-M 28mm F2.8 (first version ) manual focus lens.
This popular lens came in two nearly-identical variations, depending on the year of production. The first version has the optical formula of the SMC Pentax-M .The second version had the optical formula of the SMC PENTAX-A version and it also looks like an early A lens (no silver decorative ring). Both optical designs have 7 lens elements in 7 groups and a 5 blade diaphragm. Weight and dimensions are the same for the two variants.
