The Minox EC is a sub miniature photo camera introduced by Minox GmbH in Germany in 1981. It accepts like the previous Minox models special 8x11mm film cartridges, it is designed completely different than the former models, With a low cost body made out of durable plastic and not from aluminium like the previous models and electronic shutter it is a different camera, made for the “future”, it was produced until the mid 1990’s and then replaced by the EXC. An other main difference with earlier camera’s is the fact that the EC has a fixed focus lens.
