The first flagship of the series was the Contax N1 introduced in 2000 and discontinued in 2002. This is a 35mm SLR camera made fort he professional market and the first in the series to use the newly designed N mount for Carl Zeiss autofocusing lenses. This camera has a wide variaty of lenses and accesoires. At the time introduced a very expensive and well build camera system.
