This lens is basically a rangefinder lens converted to the later Nikon F mount. Early in the production of the Nikon F system this lens was available for the system. It was a rangefinder lens which was always available and easy for Nikon to bring straight on the market with out many modifications. Eventhood it is a very sharp lens it was not light strong so not many where sold.
