In 1998 2 years after the introduction of the F5 model ,Nikon marketed the 50 years model. There where 3000 camera’s made in total .
The Nikon F5 was placed on the market in 1996 as the professional model of Nikon range.
It was equipped with features that where very new at that present time.
The AF system includes five focusing areas based on the distance-measuring element Multi-CAM1300 auto focus sensor module.
The metering system called 3D-Color Matrix Metering was a revolutionary new technology.
Three exposure metering modes are available, depending on the photographic purpose and/or the subject conditions: 3D-Color Matrix Metering, Centre-weighted metering and Spot metering.
Motor drive with highspeed film advance 8 frames / p sec.
