Nikon S3 chrome Rangefinder camera with Nikkor-S 5cm F1.4 lens.

The Nikon S3 was produced from 1957 to 1960. About the same period as the Nikon SP and as a cheaper model. This model was the successor of the model S2. This model has a larger rangefinder window and self timer. They where not produced in large numbers. This one has number 6300229 which shows it is a early model. Th finder has 3 frames which are good visible and a shutter speeds from 1/1000- to 1 sec and B. The frame counter is set in the transport lever . and can be set to 36 and 24 takes. This camera was also prepared to use a motor drive. A very well made camera.
