This was one of the last OM system cameras released by Olympus in 1997. It was a body made by Cosina with a OM mount. The OM2000 is compatible with all of the OM lenses and accessories attached to the finder. Al anther accessories will not fit the OM2000. The 2000 is also missing the OM distinctive feature , the shutter speed around the bayonet mount, the shutter speed dial is on top of the camera housing. Despite these , the OM 2000 was an economical way to use the OM mount lenses. It has a mechanical vertical shutter and manual exposure with a spot meter setting and a top speed of 1/2000 sec. Flash sync on a 1/125 sec. The exposure meter can be switched from center-weighted metering to spot metering. There where 2 lenses released with the camera S Zuiko zoom 35-70mm F3.5—4.5 and the 70-210mm F4.5-5.6 both which where made by Cosina also. Not a great seller at this time, but at this moment a more scarcer camera then the OM-10/ 20 / 30 and 40. I also think it looks very nice in the black finish.
