Olympus Pen-F D. Zuiko Auto-S 38mm F2.8 lens
Introduced in February 1966 this standard lens was an option for Pen F buyers until discontinued in August 1966. Featuring a 4 element in 3 groups configuration and designated D. Zuiko on the bezel it is identical to the 38mm F1.8 standard except for the lens configuration and weight , it’s a 15 grams lighter weighting 120 grams. Quite why Olympus introduced such an unpopular lens remains a mystery .
This lens is the inexpensive version of the 38mm F1.8 standard lens.
This lens is made in very few numbers because most people wanted the faster 1.8 version.
