The Xenotar or Planar lens and the lack of the EVS system distinguish 2.8Cs from other Rolleiflexes except Fs which are identified by the F before the serial numbers. Type 1 has a Xenotar lens while the type 2 has a Planar.
Other features : MX synchronization , self-timer , double exposure provision, Film reminder on the focusing knob, exposure guide on the back door, sports finder, eye level critical focusing, baffles , adjustable pressure plate.
Instead of metal the 2.8C uses plastic safety locks on the shutter release and the flash sync outlet.
