The automatic Rolleiflex 4×4 cm popularly known as the ” Baby Rolleiflex “ was introduced in 1957 and was a successful model, so much that different makers did their own models like Yashica and Topcon. This model helped to start a short boom for the 38x38mm super slides. Remarks: This is a rare camera ; only some 20.000 were made. It appears on the outside to be the same as the grey, but it is different mechanically. Improvements were made to the film transport system and the shutter mechanism safety interlock.
