All model T have the letter T before the serial number . The type 3 is distinguished from the type 1 by having “Synchro – Compur X “on the faceplate instead of “Synchro-Compur”. The type 3 has X synchronization only while the type 1 has MXV. On the type 3 the arms which adjust the sync and the EVS are metal while on the type 1 they are plastic. The type 3 has a 220 film counter.
This was the last Rolleiflex to use the Tessar lens. The T-type meter was available as an option.
