Rolleiflex X ( type1).

Identifiers : This is the only 3,5 Rolleiflex which incorporated X synchronization as a standard feature . All earlier models were sold without synchronization or with sync as a option . Some were later retrofitted with sync. The X can be distinguished from these earlier models by the cable release socket in the center of the shutter release. All subsequent models had MX or MXV sync. The pressure plate of the type 1 is not adjustable. Other features : on the top of the finder there is a two-point accessory holder, used to hold masks. The “modern “ counter balanced hood has a large magnifier plus bult-in frame sports finder. This is Rollei ‘s first truly postwar camera . Other models were made and sold after the war, of course but they were pre-war designs. This is the first model with coated taking and viewing lenses. This camera is sometimes referred to as the Postwar Automatic. The name Rolleiflex X , although unofficial is used extensively.
