This lens was made for use with the Kodak Retina rangefinder camera’s with interchangeable lens system. The back part of the camera lens stays in place and the front part of the lens after the shutter is taken of and replaced by a Wide-angle or telephoto lens. This can be done on the 1B / IIC and IIIC series. This was done in the perspective that the shutter and the diaphragm stayed on the camera so this didt not cost a lot of money to make these lenses.
