Stereo Realist 45 with Stereo-Redufocus lenses 25mm  wide Angle.

The Realist 45 is a stripped down version of the German made Iloca Stereo Rapid camera , without the rangefinder and self-timer. It was marketed by the Realist inc. in the US as an economical and easy to use camera to compete with Kodak. Though the design is clearly different, the Realist 45 has several features in common with the Kodak Stereo camera. It features an automatically cocked shutter, there is built-in double exposure prevention with manual override, and also a film type indicator on the top. The Realist 45 differs from the Kodak Stereo camera in more ways. The Realist 45 transport features a swing-out lever that allows rapid winding, also a top mounted focusing knob that moves the film plane . The top mounted exposure counter counts up. Aperture settings are on a ring mounted on the left lens, apertures go from f/3.5 to f/16 with all whole f-stops marked. The shutter speed is set by a ring mounted on the right lens and includes B, 1/25, 1/50 , 1/100, and 1/200 of a sec. The bottom of the camera contains the rewind knob release lever, the rewind button and the rewind knob. This knob is also used to open the back. Printing on the bottom includes loading instructions, daylight exposure table, flash exposure table, and suggestions for common focus settings. The camera features the standard old style hot-shoe.

Wide Angle attachment . The Stereo-Redufocus is a wide angle attachment consisting of two f/2.8 lens components which are attached to the stereograms Realist reducing the  focal length of the lenses from 35mm to 25mm , without altering the aperture setting and yielding a wide angle picture of 68°. The 4 element lenses are optically matched , color corrected and hard coated , equipped with a parallax-corrected viewfinder as well as a depth of field indicator. The attachment is easily and quickly assembled to the camera by means of slip-on locking rings and base plate screw on to the tripod bush.
