The Ticka Watch camera designed and sold from the 1904’s onwards.

The Expo Watch camera was patented in 1904 by Magnus Nill and was produced by the Expo Company in New York. It could be carried in a vest pocket and resembles the form of the watch case. The camera size is only 5.5cm diameter and 2.2cm high. It tooke 25 exposures from a single drop-in roll film cassette. It could be lauded in full daylight. The negatives are 15x22mm. The lens is a fixed focus 25mm. Shutter mechanism consists of a 1/125 sliding plate with a T setting. A clip-on brilliant finder was an accessory.

In 1905 The Expo designed was exported to Europe, the importer was Houghtons of London and renamed the Ticka Watch camera and was quite successful in England.

The camera was offered for sale from 1904 until 1928.

Description

Condition:

The shutter works, but the little knob to release the shutter is missing. T setting is fine. The lens is fine, there are no heavy dents. Transports we don’t know, there is no cassette. The finder is clean, there is a manual with it.
