Zenza Bronica AE-II finder for use with ETRS / ETR-c series cameras.

Broniac AE Finder II.

The AE-II finder E has been specially designed as an intergral accesoiry for use with the Zenza Bronica ETRS system of photography and converts the ETRS and ETR-C in to a diaprhagm-priority TTL automatic exposure camera , when it is mounted in place of the other finder. Furthermore it can also be switched to function as a coupled exposure metering system or it can be completely switched off and used as a prism viewfinder, withut any limitations on the operation of the camera.

Eyepiece diopter : Interchangeable eyepiece lenses are available.

Exposure metering : TTL full aperture exposure measurements ; full area average readings, with two silicon photo cells.

Shutterspeed range : 8 seconds to 1/500 sec in stageles steps , on Auto , but in 13 settings on Manual and OFF , of the AE dial.

Exposure measure readings : EV4 to EV 17 ( 100ASA film)

Film sensitivity range: ASA 25 to 3200 .

Exposure compensation: Over and under exposure adjustments possible up to one EV over and under indicated exposure readings.

Finder indications: Shutterspeed setting for diaphragm-priority automatic exposure is digitally indicated by LED-illumination, below focusing screen area, with half-stroke of shutter release button on body ( ETRS) or depression of display ( ETRS/ETRS-C) . Shutter speed scale displayed in following colors:

Orange – 8sec to 1/30 sec.

Green : 1/60 sec to 1/500 sec.

Red : Over and under exposure marks.

Battery checker : Red flashes in lower right corner when battery power is sufficient for operations, when the battery on body  ( ETRS) is depressed.

Shutter signal: Battery checker LED also doubles as the shutter signa land flashes when the shutter release action is completed.

AE dial: Can be switched to 3 settings as follows:  A – Auto AE circuit automatically controls  shutter speed setting( with an illuminated display indicating the shutter speed setting).

M Manual  AE circuit and body control circuit operates independently ( with flickering display indicating the shutter speeds for correct exposure.)

OFF AE circuit is switched off and body control circuit only is in operation. Shutterspeed dial is in control. No display whatsoever.
