Plaubel is a German camera maker founded in 1902 by Hugo Schader.
Its first product catolog was published in 1903 included cameras of all sizes and makes plus many accessories. In 1912 Hugo Schrader introduced the Plaubel Makina a compact bellows camera with a unique scissors-strut design. After 1945 Plaubel designed and produced a number of large format Peco monorail studio view cameras. In 1986 Plaubel introduced the Peco Profia monorail camera. cameras.
