Identifiers: This is the only 3.5 Rolleiflex model which has the MX synchronization and also the small focusing knob. The next 2 models have the MX synchronization to but they have the large knobs. The type 1 differs from the type 2 in that the base plate of the type 1 has no groove to accept accessories such as the hand grip and the quick tripod release . Additionally the type 1 has no interior baffles while type 2 does.
